Event Software’s Company History

For over 30 years, our state-of-the-art facility and event management software has been helping venues schedule events and manage the work in their organizations.

Beginning in 1984, Event Software started thanks to an MIT grant from the US Olympic Committee.  The US Olympic Committee was looking for a way to help schedule their various events using the burgeoning new field of computer technology.  What the programmers at MIT came up with was not exactly what the Olympic Committee was looking for, so they passed on the program; however another gentleman involved in the project saw that the software had potential for managing event facilities.  The software was then adapted for use in civic centers, performing arts centers, and various other venues.

Since the days of DOS applications, Event Software has been evolving their products.  From command line interfaces, to Windows PCs, and now in the cloud.  Through the years our facility and event management software has been used in a broad spectrum of facilities including Arenas, Convention Centers, Coliseums, Performing Arts Centers, Universities, Museums, Churches, Hospitals, Businesses and more.   Through feedback, customers have shaped the direction and feature set of the package.  This has allowed us to make exactly what our users were looking for. These additional modules have made it more robust and applicable for so many other types of venues.

Our technical support and customer service have made us a leader in the facility and event scheduling software business.

Meet Our Management Team


Chief Executive Officer

Chris is the Chief Executive Officer of Event Software.  He is responsible for overall strategic planning and business growth, and was formerly the Lead Product Developer and Chief Technology Officer.   Chris is truly committed to our vision of simple, efficient event scheduling and venue management.

For over 15 years, Chris has scaled the ranks at Event Software.  He is responsible for our FASTbook Online and FBMobile products, and although not the original architect has refactored most of the existing FASTbook product since he has been employed with Event Software.  Chris has worked closely with our customers for well over a decade and is well versed in the operations of event venues. Chris shares our vision of excellence in customer service and producing easy to use software solutions.

Chris’ passion for programming began at the age of 12 where he first leaned BASIC programming, and has attended a number of specialized schools for those adept in programming and technological studies, and he has become proficient in over 20 programming languages.  Later in life Chris, returned to school to study business administration and entrepreneurial ventures.

Before Event Software, Chris worked as a project manager for another local technology company and founded and ran his own web development business.  Chris also worked for a time in manufacturing and received extensive education in quality and process control.

A native of Phoenix, Chris is passionate about furthering develop Arizona’s business culture and economic growth.  Chris is involved with a local college as an entrepreneurial adviser, and helps run one of their business clubs.  He is also involved in the #yesphx initiative, the Arizona Technology council, and some of the local maker communities.


Chief Operations Officer

Rebecca is the Chief Operations Officer for Event Software, where she is responsible for the oversight and daily operation of the company.  The sales, marketing, and support teams all report directly to her.

Rebecca has worked for Event Software her entire life, even from a young age when her father, Keith (former President and Owner),  was in our sales department.  She has performed minor tasks all the way to executive decisions. Rebecca took some time off from Event Software to pursue her education at Arizona State University.  Rebecca studied international business, German and communication.  She graduated in 2003 and took some time to experience other manufacturing and technology businesses.   She also acquired skills in internet marketing and salesmanship.

In 2006, Rebecca returned to Event Software to lead our customer service department.  She then moved into sales and then management. Rebecca has quite literally dedicated her entire life to the success of this company.  She is an honored an employee and continues to move this company in positive directions.

At Event Software, we believe in finding efficient software solutions through positive dialogue with our customers.  We try to utilize Agile methodologies to accomplish this.  We feel this brings solutions to customers faster and more directly keeps customers in the development process.
