Other Utilities
Compression Tools
If you would like to backup you data for archiving or transmital you can
use data compression utilities such as WinZIP. The latest version of WinZIP,
a valuable compression utility, can be downloaded at:
www.winzip.com
Document Readers
Most of our user manuals are stored in Adobe Acrobat Reader format and you
will need the reader installed to read them. The free Adobe Acrobat Reader
can be downloaded at:
www.adobe.com
Database Drivers
If you need to install or reinstall the Borland Database Engine
(BDE) please download these two files:
BDE35.exe

MB].
Once downloaded, execute bde35.exe and save the files to a temporary
folder. By default the "C:\FBTEMP" folder is selected. After running
the BDE35.exe, you will need to execute the second file, BDE511en.exe.
This executable will bring the BDE version up the the latest to
use with FASTbook.
We also have the latest and tested Fireberd database engine
available. You will need to uninstall your old Firebird server
before you can install the latest engine.

FTP Utilities
These utilities will help you send your data directly to us. This
is often used to overcome email limitations or other issues.
FBFTP allows the user to send files of any type to EventSoftware so that
the clients can send items such as reports and Access Tables.

DataSend works with FASTbook 5.x. This utility links with
the database, performas a hot backup , zips (compresses) the file
and then transmits it over FTP automatically.

FreeRAM
This is a freeware utility that helps windows manage its memory
more efficiently. It can prevent your machine from running out
of resources and stops it from crashing. This is usually only
necessary on machines running Win 95/98/ME.
